Ryan, Sheri, Terry, Scot and Bob Calonge

Celebrating its 50^th anniversary in 2009, Richards & Southern, Inc. is a third generation family business that began in 1959 when a school teacher and his wife moved to Goodlettsville, TN from Indiana.  Bob Calonge sold post cards and souvenirs for Adams Specialty Co. during the summer months to supplement his teaching income for his growing family.  It wasn’t long after that first summer that Bob realized that he could make a better living as a salesman and he and his wife, Betty, became lifetime business partners in a small company that they named Southern Post Card Co. They worked out of their garage and on the kitchen table with the four kids helping out when needed.  It was from this small company that a family legacy was launched and it continues today under the name of Richards & Southern, Inc.
